Norris Scientific is committed to protecting all personal details that are stored on our systems.

We only store the details that you provide to us, and we only ask for the minimum information that allows us to provide services to you.

Information about you will only be used by Norris Scientific in the course of providing services to you, such as software licence management, or contacting you with information about current or new products.

This website is operated from a private server located in the United Kingdom. This website is secured following industry best practices. This website stores information about users of the site, including customers, in a digital database. Passwords for user accounts are only stored in the database as a hash value generated using an appropriate salt. This means that we do not know your password. This also means that if our database is compromised and the contents leaked, nobody else can determine your password either. This way of storing authentication details should be standard across the internet, but unfortunately it is not.

Norris Scientific keeps general purpose web server logs that contain some identifying information about you and the information you request from this site. These records include such information as: the time of the request, the web browser user agent, the IP address, and the referring URL. These web server logs are industry standards and the same kind that are stored by nearly all web servers operating today.

Norris Scientific only stores specific customer information about you that is provided to us by you for the purpose of delivering the services that you have requested or purchased. We do not "sniff", "track", or "fingerprint" your browser, or use tracking services of any kind.

Upon cancellation of services, Norris Scientific will delete most of our records about you. However, we reserve the right to store basic identifying information (your name, your email address, the time period you were a customer for, and the products that you purchased from us) indefinitely, for archival and reporting purposes. We also have basic obligations as an operating business to keep records of transaction details.

This website does not store any credit or debit card information.

Norris Scientific does not store any credit or debit card information on any digital medium. The only time Norris Scientific handles credit or debit card information is when a customer is making a payment over the telephone. The company will only handle the information so that it can enter the payment details into their secure card processing gateway, provided by National Bank of Australia.

Any person, at any time, can contact Norris Scientific and request a copy of the information that we have stored about you. Where it is reasonable to do so, this information can be deleted upon request.

Norris Scientific stores personal information about customers that includes their name, their email address, and the location and name of their affiliated institution, if relevant. This information is used solely for maintaining customer records and contacting customers from time to time with product announcements and new offers. Norris Scientific is committed to only storing the minimum amount of personal data that allows us to conduct effective business.

Please Note: We do not display any pop-up on our website concerning GDPR because we do not use any tracking cookies or advertising services of any kind. General visitors to our site receive no cookies. Users of our site, who wish to log in to the site, will receive a single cookie which contains their user authentication token for their session. Deleting this cookie will log them out.

All personal data is stored on Norris Scientific servers located in the United Kingdom and Norris Scientific follows industry best practice with regards to server security.

If Norris Scientific experiences a breach in server security then all customers will be advised as soon as Norris Scientific becomes aware of the infraction.
