Your GeoStar installation is identified by a unique machine key. The key is generated when GeoStar is installed and is used for generating your registration key. If your machine key ever changes then you will need to generate a new registration key, which can be done easily via your Norris Scientific user account.
To view the machine key in GeoStar, from the main menu click on "Help" then "Registration". The registration window will show you the machine key:
Older versions of GeoStar do not have a registration window to display the machine key. If you wish to register your RESOlution running an old version of GeoStar, which will in turn give you access to GeoStar updates, please ensure you enter the version number correctly: old versions will waive the requirement to enter the machine key.
